How You Can Help

Purchase a painting

During our independent assessment of rivers and streams along the proposed route of the Energy East Pipeline, Aleta has been painting and sketching on site, in all kinds of weather - from New Brunswick to Alberta and back to Ontario. Proceeds from sales of her work will go directly to support our travel and research.

Please check the bottom of each blog post (click on "Read more") to see whether the painting is available for purchase on a first-come-first-served basis, or if there is a one-week or 24 hr auction by e-mail. Please contact Aleta as soon as possible if you are interested in a painting,
E-mail karstad(at)pinicola.ca.

Your purchase of one of Aleta's plein air oils or onsite watercolours encourages her to keep painting! Your support pushes us ahead to explore and document changes in the landscape and ecology of Canada. This collection of plein air paintings will be impressive in its diversity and geographic scope for years to come. E-mail Aleta at karstad(at)pinicola.ca to receive an e-mail containing a thumbnail image of each painting as it is completed.

Contribute information
Contact us with information on a place that you feel is important to visit, assess, and paint!
You can send us Mussel shells or drifted material.

Help us with networking

Contacts are important. Residents, cottagers, schools, researchers, and organizations all increase the critical mass of knowledge about the landscape and its vulnerable watersheds along the proposed pipeline route. Let us know who you know!

Guide or host our field party

We need the support of folks who are familiar with vulnerable waterways and would like to know more about what's out there, to guide us to those special places, and to provide a parking or camping spot.
